Über den Autor Trudi Canavan

Trudi Canavan wurde 1969 im australischen Melbourne geboren. Sie arbeitete als Grafikerin und Designerin für verschiedene Verlage und begann nebenbei zu schreiben. 1999 gewann sie den Aurealis Award, die angesehenste Auszeichnung für Fantasy in Australien, für die beste Fantasy-Kurzgeschichte. 'Die Rebellin', der Auftakt zur Trilogie 'Die Gilde der Schwarzen Magier', erschien 2001 in Australien und wurde weltweit ein riesiger Erfolg. In Deutschland wurde der Roman mit dem Deutschen Phantastik Preis ausgezeichnet. Seither sind von Trudi Canavan noch viele weitere SPIEGEL-Bestseller erschienen, zum Beispiel die 'Sonea'-Trilogie, die in der gleichen Welt spielt wie 'Die Gilde der Schwarzen Magier', aber viele Jahre später.
