Über den Autor Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan wurde 1941 als Robert Allen Zimmerman in Duluth, Minnesota geboren. Schon als Zehnjähriger galt sein ganzes Interesse der Musik und der Literatur, schwärmte er für Little Richard, Elvis und John Steinbeck. 1959 schrieb sich Dylan für ein Musikstudium an der University of Minnesota in St. Paul ein, das er nur ein Jahr später (und ohne je ein Seminar besucht zu haben) abbrach, um in New York sein Glück als Musiker zu versuchen. Mit seinem zweiten Album The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan gelang ihm 1963 der Durchbruch, bald verkauften sich seine Platten millionenfach. Im Juli 1966 beendete ein Motorradunfall seinen rasanten Aufstieg. Jahrelang trat Dylan kaum noch öffentlich in Erscheinung. 1974 folgte die spektakuläre Comeback-Tour, innerhalb weniger Stunden waren sämtliche Karten verkauft. Seither ist der wohl bedeutendste Singersongwriter unserer Zeit, dem 2016 als erstem Musiker der Literaturnobelpreis zuerkannt wurde, von den Bühnen dieser Welt nicht mehr wegzudenken.
