»Deep Brain Stimulation in the Mirror of Criminal Guilt. A Practical and Theoretical Analysis« The thesis deals with the evaluation of deep brain stimulation in the mirror of the criminal guilt principle. It is analysed whether and to what extent occurring side effects can be subsumed under §§ 20, 21 StGB. In addition, normative concepts of guilt are examined for their understanding of freedom of will, autonomy and responsibility and a possible way of dealing with the challenges posed by deep brain stimulation.
