Technocracy is a hypothetical form of government in which scientists and technical experts would be in administrative or decision-making management positions. The term came to mean government by technical decision making in 1932. There have been a variety of technocratic groups and organisations in a number of countries, comprised of scientists, engineers, writers and others. The Technocracy movement reached a peak in the USA and Canada during the 1930s.
