»Gatekeeper to Administrative Justice. Access to Justice in the Administrative Law of the European Union under the Influence of the Aarhus Convention« As party to the Aarhus Convention, the Union has to comply with the Convention's requirements of improving access to justice in environmental matters. This includes legal protection against measures taken by the Union's institutions. In this respect, the study examines the conformity of legal protection under the Treaties with focus on the restrictive Plaumann jurisdiction and the remedy for environmental NGOs created by Regulation No. 1367/2006 with the requirements of the Aarhus Convention.
